Antwerp welcomes X-Mas shoppers with excellent parking at EUR 1 per day!
New EV charging poles at Park & Ride (P&R) Antwerp Linkeroever, Luchtbal and Merksem connect City with EV families.

ANTWERP, 1 december 2022 –This month it’s “All About X-Mas!” in Antwerp, with a cosy and twinkling city centre full of atmosphere, pleasant get-togethers, Christmas music, drinks and of course that unique Antwerp shopping experience !

To get into the atmosphere from the very first moment, there are three brand-new parking facilities where you can park your car for EUR 1 per day.

And for EV drivers, there are dozens of EV charging stations to put you safely and fully charged on the way home after a day of fun shopping.

From each Park & Ride, there is a tram service connecting you to Antwerp city centre every 10 minutes. You also have the choice of continuing your trip from the P&R with a shared step, electric share bike and scooter.

“Our partnership combines the City of Antwerp’s mobility program with Blue Corner’s leadership in delivering accessible charging solutions where drivers live, work and shop. Together with Antwerp, we are pleased to offer EV drivers a high-quality charging experience,” said Olivier Van Schap, managing director Blue Corner.

A recognizable calling card for Antwerp

The appearance of the P&R buildings is the same everywhere.  This makes them easily recognizable on the major approach roads to the city. Convenience for the user is key: thanks to the open construction, each floor is slightly higher, allowing more daylight to enter. This saves energy and also makes users feel safer. It also increases the possibilities of giving the buildings a different function in the future.

A Happy End of Year and Successful 2023 on behalf of the City of Antwerp and Blue Corner!
