Charging systems from Blue Corner at Profile branches
The brand-independent automotive holding company, Profile International, recently signed a partner agreement with Blue Corner. The Belgian provider of charging systems will supply Profile branches in the Benelux with charge points for both private and public use. The first charge points are expected to go into operation this year..
Every day, more and more people are switching to electric vehicles in the business market and private sector. This requires an appropriate infrastructure and the right services. Profile and Blue Corner continue to work on this. Besides installing charge points, Blue Corner also provides service. There is a total of about 200 charge points and at least one charge point with two power sockets per branch.
‘Profile Electric’ concept
In June, Profile introduced the electric vehicle concept to all of its contractors. Profile uses this total concept to relieve drivers of all their worries related to repairs, maintenance, and tyres. The concept consists of four parts each of which has specific content and is implemented successively. It relates to training, equipment, branding, and product & services.
Profile uses the total concept to make the branches e-ready. Knowledge of the most important risks when handling high-voltage equipment is an integral part of the basic training that all Profile staff is required to take. All maintenance technicians are trained to become an EV Properly Trained Person.
At least one technician in each branch has also been trained to the specialist level Skilled Person. As soon as the training courses are completed and the branches’ equipment is brought up to the desired level, this is communicated to the outside world with specific EV branding. This is expected to happen this year at the first group of branches.
